Populous is Andrea Mangia’s stage name, a musician and producer born and and raised in Italy in the 90’s and 2000’s. He made his debut in 2002 with the album Quipo, with Morr Music, a german label which welcomes his sounds hovering between IDM, pop and abstract beatmaking. Morr also produced his later recordings, Queue For Love [2005] and Drawn In Basic [2008]. He is author of television jingles and original sound tracks, sound-designer for the web, museums and fashion shows. Has worked with and for JC Penney, Vivienne Westwood, Wired, Kit Hung. He has produced for and collaborated with, among others, Dose One, Teebs, Ricardo Tobar, Clap! Clap!, Giorgio Tuma, Simon Scott/Slowdive, Sun Glitters, Nic Sarno, Go Dugong, Indian Wells, DJ Khalab. In 2010 he won the national prize “Premio 2061- the electronic italian music of the future
